A Salute to Our Nation’s Capital

This May, our elementary class presented “A Salute to Our Nation’s Capital” – past and present. From the Washington Monument, Capitol Hill, Smithsonian Museums, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, & our War Memorials, we found pride and unity in our American heritage. Our students’ solos highlighted People and Places from A to Z that represent the history, buildings and memorials of our nation’s capital. The class then joined together in unison as they recited the Declaration of Independence, & sang and danced to patriotic songs.

The photos here depict the development of our program from the students’ initial practices, to their backstage camaraderie, and finally, the presentation of their show.
