I Can Do It Myself – Spring

The Montessori preschool classroom is abuzz with activity. These 3- & 4-year-old students are given individualized instruction based on their readiness and interests. In this way, each child is able to progress at his own rate. Students are encouraged to select activities of interest, complete each activity cycle, and then return the material to its proper place before making another selection. Students are assisted by teachers or classmates, as needed, until they are ready to work independently. Then, as they master skills, they too enjoy taking on the role of the guide or helper.

Photos of math & reading activities are highlighted in this blog. The Montessori preschool classroom focuses a great deal on sensorial, language & practical life activities. Story time, music, dance, art, Spanish, & physical education are also important components of our preschool curriculum.
