This May our preschool children had the fabulous experience of putting on a poem recital for their parents and grandparents. The morning of the recital, the children arrived full of excitement and anticipation. They had practiced dozens of poems throughout the year during story time. Now it was time to showcase their theatrical skills in front of a live audience. The older children, dressed in costume, began the program by reciting their solo parts. Then all of our two, three, & four year olds performed together to the delight of all.
It was an amazing show! There were lots of lines to perform & lots of precious little stars reciting their humorous poems with big smiles & adorable expressions.
Yet the thing that most impressed many of the parents of our youngest students was watching the nightly performances given at home by their two and three year olds as they imitated their big buddies. They too enjoyed practicing the BIG KIDS’ solo parts!
